Admission Requirements
- For admission to the Masters by Thesis programme, students require an average grade of at least 70% for their majors in their final year of a four year undergraduate degree, or an average grade of 70% for an honours degree in a related field of study.
- All prospective Masters by Thesis applicants will have to submit a 10-page research proposal.
Please note that entrance into the Masters by Thesis programme is subject to the availability of a supervisor with expertise in the proposed field of study. Moreover, students undertaking the Masters by Thesis may also be required to do course work at UWC or at one of our partner institutes.
Curriculum
Module Name
Master’s Thesis 801 (1st Enrolment), 802 (2nd Enrolment), and 802 (Final Enrolment optional)
These modules comprise the full thesis completed under the supervision of an academic supervisor, building on an approved research proposal. Students undertake an applied or theoretical research project that addresses a contemporary development issue, culminating in a rigorous and well-structured thesis.
